Does my rental include hours for decorating?

Yes, when you rent the venue for an event, the rental times include the time necessary to decorate for your event.  For example, a half-day rental from 6 pm to midnight includes set-up and break down time.

What if I only need it for a couple of hours?

The Venue is not rented on an hourly basis except for photography shoots.  There is a three-hour rate for meetings during the week. Clients having weddings or larger parties rent the Venue for the full day which includes access time to prepare for their events.

Am I required to have a wedding planner or day-of-coordinator?

718 is a single service venue accommodation providing a wonderful environment for your celebration.   We do not require clients to have a wedding coordinator. We do recognize the value of coordinators as your special event will have many moving parts such as photographers, caterers, florists, etc.  We are happy to supply you with a list of local coordinators to assist you with these tasks. 718 allows one complementary site visit for your coordinator and vendors, additional visits are $35 an hour.  There is a final walkthrough for all 718 events and your coordinators and vendors are welcome to join the client for these.

Is all decor permissible?

We encourage festive decor.  However, we do not allow any decor to be attached to the walls with adhesive because we have found it pulls the paint off.  We have seen clients make wonderful decor using tables, high-top centerpieces, the bar area, presentations on easels, and balloons. Lit candles are allowed, however, they must be on a surface in a container that is at least one (1) inch taller than the flame. Confetti is not permitted.
